The F-1 Fire/EMS Dispatch patch on the Camden County P25 system has been down for at least a day. No word on when it will be up. Cherry Hill Fire/EMS and Camden City Fire are still dispatched on their separate channels and are not affected at this time.

Baffles me why they pick the busiest times to do "upgrades". Pay the extra money and do them on a Monday night!!!
And postpone ANY non-vital system work the day before/of the biggest storm(s) of the season(s)...

While we are on the subject of updates. I heard from a officer in a paid department that the county was looking to replace the system. They were told by the county not to buy any new equipment unless absolutely necessary until the RFP goes out and the bids are announced. I have not heard that from anybody else just trying to see if someone else has heard that rumor

First I have heard of it. I'll see if I can do a little digging.

I highly doubt this. The current system is about 7 years old and has undergone a lot of hardware and software updates. What would they replace it with anyway, another P25 phase II system?
