Cannot Find Firmware Update

Evening all,

I contacted my dealer, East Coast Pager Sales, who said the firmware updates are only available on the Unication website. However, Unication said it's only available through my dealer. So can someone advise me where I might actually find the firmware updates?

you can email Unication, but often times they tell you to ask a dealer.

I contacted East Coast also (my dealer) and when they didn’t respond I contacted support@unication.com and they responded with a download link.

A short time ago, there was an issue where people were bricking their pagers because they were putting a version of the FW on that was incompatible with the chipset inside the pager. In order to prevent pagers from having to be sent back in to be refreshed, Unication was only allowing the firmware to be released after an email request. Newer versions of firmware are compatible with the older and newer chipsets. I still believe an email is required though to receive the Firmware link.

I have an email into my support team at Unication and will let you know if there is a new public link to downloading the firmware. The last time I saw it, the firmware process was very clear, using a webpage that had videos that would walk you through the process step by step.

And yes, still fighting cancer. Some days are good and I have plenty of energy, and other days I struggle to get off the couch and drag myself around the house. Its been a game of give and take lately.

I have been reluctant to update. I am successfully using latest 4.0.xx PPS with dated FW 1.32 Hold and “Blok” working.

Currently the downloads link only provides the PPS itself, and not the firmware.

Thanks all for the help. I received the firmware from Unication this morning and successfully updated 2 of my 3 units. The other needs a USB repair, and will have to wait. Just submitted the form for that @w2lie.

What is the latest FW version (1.35?) and have they corrected the bugs in 1.34? I have 1.33 and don’t plan to update if there’s no real benefit.

My G5 came with FW version 2.0, but Unication provided FW 1.35 when I asked. So 1.35 is what Unication provides. Haven't noticed any bugs people were reporting in 1.34.

I have seen no benefit nor adverse reactions from 1.33 to 1.35. I recommend staying on 1.33 unless you have a pressing need.

One thing I believe V1.34 did add was tone detect feature, however it did cause some issues with alerting, which V1.35 corrected for most people.
