I'm wanting to use ProScan and it needs the driver installed to work. This all worked on my old WIN 7 64-bit machine, but it's in storage at this time. Newer HP laptop with Windows 11. "A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

Reseat the cable then after the scanner reboots, go to the Comm. Port Auto Detect and see if the scanner shows in the list.
If not then go to the Device Manager and see if he port show a yellow exclamation point.
