I'm going to try this again but I can't understand my issue. I am trying to download and install SDR# on a virtual machine. I have done this before and had it running fine so I know it can be done. I download the SDR# Zip to a folder on my desktop. When I extract the files I get the file names but without the extension. For example I get "install" instead of "install.exe" or whatever it is supposed to be. Running the install file does nothing.I have tried this first with windows 7 then completely uninstalled and reinstalled window 8.1. I don't have problems installing other applications. Any ideas? Thanks.
