Theres obviously topics on this but I just cant find a way to why mine isnt working? It plays this sound, and I have no clue as to why.

Dont mind the backround, filmed this in my kitchen a minute ago.

Mind you, I have all the settings I need for this repeater, set.

The low level of it suggest to me that it may be an intermodulation product caused by something strong nearby..

Don't mean to knock the Baofeng ;) but do you have a more reliable HT or scanner you can test on? Is the issue evident there?
I got a 60 CHANNEL PRO-2024 from the 90's. Could that possibly work? Im still a begginer with this stuff, so im not sure if im even able to get repeaters on there.

No need for it if you're testing
I tried but no one was on, and my baofeng wasnt going off. But every new repeater I try every Time I assume someone talks, it makes a statiky noise. Could MAYBE there be a settings issue? I have the tones freq and offset all correct.

Get us a better audio recording of it happening. I honestly couldn't tell anything from what you posted. We have no way of knowing how to help without actually knowing what the problem is.
Thats literally all there was to show. Now its doing the same but with static and onlyt when I hold the squelch buttton.
So obviously I was posting to see if this was an issue of the baofeng, like a common one, but honeslty no clue.

Well I hear it constanty on any repeater im on. I mean like every 10 seconds

Have you changed any of the radio's settings? If it has a scan function, or priority channel function, make sure they are turned off.

And note that amateur repeaters aren't like broadcast AM or FM stations. You don't tune one in and expect to hear talking. Some repeaters get very little use and can go for days without any activity.

Perhaps what might sound better is “do you have another transceiver which has a different design and IF frequencies as this might move any intermods around?” 😉
