Cape Coral Fire and HomePatrol 2 programming

I have updated my hp2 3 times and I still can't get the cape coral fire to work properly. It receives sometimes but most of the time can't understand the talking or it just doesn't receive anything.

You are likely dealing with simulcast distortion. The only solution to get around this is to get an SDS100/SDS200 or a Unication G4/G5 pager.

I am in CC now about 100 yards from Skyline Elementary School and using a G5. It is exhibiting the same symptoms on CC Fire as the original post mentioned. Wondering if a cell tower about a block away may a contributing factor?

Perhaps. Usually a G5 can handle simulcast distortion quite well

It handles my home county and also the Chicago TRS fine back home. Both are simulcast systems.
