I saw, on the news, that CareFlite is moving CareFlite 4 from their current McKinney location to a new base in Kaufman County. Kaufman County has been in the news as the fastest growing county in the country. There seems to have been an increase in flights from Kaufman County to the Dallas area hospitals. I've seen more runs, from Texas Health-Kaufman lately, along with an increase in flights from the Terrell airport, or from Forney. Texas Health recently announced a new hospital will be built in Forney. Other than patients transferring to the 'home' Texas Health Hospital (Texas Health-Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas), the number of flights for patients needing advanced trauma treatment from Kaufman County has also increased in recent months.
