Casa Grande Fire

I programmed my G5 with the new Pinal county system, and used the casa grande site, with both fire talk groups. Im in maricopa (11 miles away) and i get "out of range". Is there a chance they are not using that site and i will need to go to sacaton?

Try Sacaton, it should have CG FD.

To guage activity. Make a wildcard zone. Each channel has a different site using wildcard RX.

I'm in Maricopa as well. Sacaton had traffic for them. But they mentioned Q deck channel and I lost them. Haven't listened in a while as I'm in a different Air BnB until my house is done in a few more weeks.

Do other system work for you like AZWINS or Maricopa County? Possible the site information is incorrectly programmed which would give out of range indication.

And I forgot to reply to the Casa Grande site question. I have both Sacaton and Casa Grande Mtn listed in my DSD+ setup as being "Good" for Maricopa reception.
