Dawson County Nebraska, Site Cozad
Nebraska SRS says phase 2 but all my scanners that are digital and phase 1 only pick up all Dawson County digital talk groups. The Cozad site tower has 4 frequencies. I've tried all and just voice control frequency. Using win96 and arc 96 I put in cozad site for 4 frequencies and in talk groups groups I want to hear. Scans but only hear the dreaded tower noises that one hears when put in same frequencies in an analog scanner I do however hear the digital but no way to scan as those noises make it impossible. Sorry if this isn't right place or discussion area. I run a large area scanner page and do free giveaways and have programmed digital Scanners for people for years never had this problem. Any help is appreciated ty

I believe this is the system you are referring to:

This should be programmed as a Phase 1 P25 system on the Pro2096.
The database shows that this system is Phase 2 capable. However, almost all of the talkgroups are Phase 1. (This is indicated by the D in the mode column). The phase 1 scanners are able to pick up the Dawson County talkgroups.

Yes but I program my site (Cozad) from RR which puts those 4 site frequencies in frequencies on win96 then the talk groups go in the other lower colum part. Upload to scanner... scan bank 1 where everything is and hear nothing.. I do hear on my bcd996p2...

Since the Cozad site in Dawson County uses VHF frequencies, you need to enter the proper band plan. The PRO-2096 does not load the band plan from the control channel. I suggest that you click on Report and request that your thread be moved to the Nebraska forum. Someone there will most likely have the info you need. If you download from the Radio Reference database, the proper band plan should be included.

The wiki has tips for programming the Nebraska SRS system

As tvengr noted above:
  • Uniden 296, 796 and RadioShack Pro96, you will need to program the scanner as a Motorola VHF trunking system. Program the frequencies and you will need a bandplan.

I believe you will need to enter the custom band plan in win96.

Appreciate it. As explained I have entered from RR the Cozad vhf 4 frequency system whis is Site Cozad and have changed it and talk groups to MOT. 4 frequencies are listed where they should be as are the talk groups I created a Scanner Page with 21k .members with followers and nobody knows. This 2096 is going in file 13

I don't believe that is the proper format for the Multi Tables in the PRO-96 and PRO-2096.
I found this in the Nebraska forum

To enter in win96: Set Mot 9600 Bandplans to Multi Tables and click on Edit Multi Tables.

Am aware of that type of table. Maybe that's what I need to do. On phase 1 p25 I thought all I needed was the 4 frequencies on my digital tower. Can you kindly tell me what page that is on as ik I've seen it! And on win96 where in the world do find where to put that info in? It's not a fleet map is it? Your help is greatly appreciated

Would the Lwin system work in the pro-96 & pro-2096?

Would the Lwin system work in the pro-96 & pro-2096?
Which sites will you use? The PRO-96 and PRO-2096 cannot trunk track 700 MHz frequencies.

Would the Lwin system work in the pro-96 & pro-2096?
Are you referring to:

The database shows that this is a Project 25 Phase I system. However, most of the sites are 700Mhz frequencies. The Pro-96/2096 does not handle 700Mhz. The Pro-96/2096 cannot monitor the LWIN system. It can receive the frequencies, but it cannot trunk track in the 700 MHz band. I believe this will be an uphill battle.

Get Along 01.JPG

Kinda reminds me of the movie Men in Black going after REAL illegal "Aliens..." I mean, that WAS the premise of the whole plot.

I just put up a M400 Starduster. It is well built, very quiet and has a small footprint/ 5'. Very pleased. @ 4000' you will talking around the world with a couple, three hundred whiskey's. I was talking to a guy in Texas on LSB and had 4 other continents coming into my radio at the same time.

Nice! With the elevation, you'll be a powerhouse station on the band. (y)
Lots of reports of them filling up with water and having SWR issues. Keep it on the meter or you might burn up that new burner. GL!

You missed my previous post. The system will not work without the multi tables.

I just need a screenshot of what win96 looks like on the software page on Nebraska State Patrol Troop D I've done programming many many ways using normal 9600 and extended table and fleet map info with info giving on RadioReference... Just can't get this scanner to pickup the NSP.. sorry but I'm fairly knowledgeable on programming digital systems etc.. this just has me stumped
