Had a question on another forum about the State Highway Patrol monitoring CB Channel 9. Is that a relic of the past or do the Posts and cruisers still have CB radios? If so, does anyone monitor Channel 9?
Some do. The motor carrier patrols still have the CB whips, but the chargers are a mixed bag from what I have seen.Had a question on another forum about the State Highway Patrol monitoring CB Channel 9. They don't.Anyone know if the OSP posts still have their CB radio base stations?
They don't.
They don't. Ohio likes to do stuff such as, leave a non-applicable sign on the roadside for 10+ years. There is a road sign on I-70 near the Indiana/Ohio line that says OSP monitors CB CH9.

🤣🤣 That sign is NOT 50 years old. Nice try though. 😉ODOT put a bunch of those up in the 1970s during the CB radio craze.
They just forgot to take it down.
