Anyone in NZ still use 26mhz CB radio ?
Not like it was "back in the day". You won't find anyone on 26Mhz ssb I think. AM - truckies use channel 11, caravaners sometimes use a channel and the odd 4x4 club/groups may use a channel - most use FM PRS now. But ... now that 27Mhz is legal for NZ CB'ers most DX chasers are there now. 27.355/27.385. Plenty of skip most days.

I’ve heard Melbourne, AU, in Texas.

Skip is a crazy phenomenon.

The latest NRC-integrated radios make it fun all over again.

DRIVER EXTREME DRX-901 Speaker for full experience.

I've been hearing American accents on 27.025 and 27.085 in the mornings from my location in Otago.
While not from your area, that was a neat statement. I can remember in probably 1982 or 83, my mom was working a guy down that way on 27.375 or so, and calling me on the phone, and telling me the amplifier was smoking. I told her to go ahead and talk for a bit yet. I knew it was a connection on the parasitics on the tubes arcing and not a huge deal. Man she was so, so excited. I tuned in and listened from my house about 10 miles or so away from here and it was quite a conversation, you could hear the excitement in her voice.
