FYI.

Came across a transmission yesterday while enroute to the Sydney Area from the NorthSide and heard an East division unit informing dispatch that his radio was malfunctioning so he was switching over to tmr. I picked him up on 06672 talkgroup. I would suspect that they may have atleast three talkgroups then, one for each division.......

Huh? I haven't rejected it. And I'm in Halifax..
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to add it

So we're thinking this is a backup talkgroup to their east repeater?

You made two Submissions: 142011 and 142012.

142011 which was for the TMR system is currently owned by Chris.

142012 wasn't submitted for any system in particular and was rejected by Chauffer6 as a duplicate of 142011.

Backup..I'd say yes to that but only for the time being. I talked to someone in the know who wishes to remain anonymous for reasons but the CBRM is planning a large upgrade to the tune of 10 to 12 million. That sounds like a lot of cash so maybe they are planning a different system rather than going on tmr. I'm thinking this because if they already have some infrastructure in place to operate on TMR, why would they need to spend so much money on an upgrade?

Overheard another transmission last night on the TMR channel between dispatch and a Central Division unit so my previous thoughts about possibly having a dedicated TMR for the three divisions is out the window. The lone channel at this point has been used by East Divison and Central Division.

I have only been using this digital scanner for a couple maybe three months and have not heard anything as of yet. Each time an RCMP unit wants to contact CBRM they do so through dispatch which is quite frequently. CBRM doesn't listen on TMR as far as i can tell so it appears to be perhaps like a mutual aid channel.
