Does anyone have experience with these magnetic loop antennas?
I just purchased the Chamelemon 3.0 plus and right out of the box the cap was bad,it was arcing on 40 meters at 6 watts ssb.
I sent it back and it was replaced and now I am trying to tune it on 40 meters and swr gets down to 1.1.1 flat but when I raise the power level to 7 watts the whole spectrum scope goes bonkers but the swr doesn't change at all,now if I am on any other band it doesn't do that at all 10 20 15 17 12 meters is fine no problems at all,my question is that if I am on the lower bands and I do have a lot of metal in my condo primarily by the window frame,is the Antenna reacting to that?
Because I don't think it's arcing and since it's a new cap I really don't think that's the problem and scope only goes bonkers when I use the coax and not the aluminum loop.
