Got it thanks all. Starting out on ProScan but still have my head wrapped around Sentinel. Looks like ProScan is going to be the way to go. Lots more features.
In Sentinel, you can, of course, append a system from the main database to a Favorites list. That works easily on conventional frequencies used by a city, county, or other entity. But with large regional, or statewide, trunked systems such as
MOSWIN in your state, the append process is more problematic. While, if you are careful, you can append only the Departments you want, Sentinel will automatically append
all of the sites in the entire system. That can be dozens, or more than a hundred on some of the larger systems. Sure, you can wade through them & either delete the unwanted ones, or set them to avoid, but that gets old real quick. Yes, if you are using location control full time, the scanner will ignore the more distant locations, but they are still there.
On the other hand, since you are a Premium Subscriber, you can use ProScan to import only the specific sites & departments that you want. A much cleaner, & user friendly process, than trying to dodge an avalanche of extraneous data.
