Added this early 60s AM radio to the harem, a Channel Master 6515 "Super Fringe" AM b'cast radio, manufactured by Sanyo for Channel Master. As an avid AM DX'er and sentimentalist, this was one that piqued my interest. Found this on EBay, seller was taking offers, I was lucky but did my homework ahead of time for past selling prices. While advertised as "working excellent" it wasn't, but came with accessories such as leather case, box, earphone, and external antenna.
which more than compensated for the radio's alleged "excellent" working condx.

Was concerned it might be a "smoker" but evidentally was only exposed to second-hand smoke hihi.

After replacing the ten totally dead condensers, dissembling/cleaning the volume pot and a realignment, it's working great. It holds it's own against the CCrane EP.

Note: the 2nd attachment shows the radio in it's "presentation" box minus it's innards as it was in surgery at the time.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

I had one once when I needed something to pull in a specific talk show in my work truck. It did the job. Never knew Sanyo made it.
