Not sure if this will interest anyone or not but I came across talkgroup 20084 on the Prince George’s County system that seems to be Chart operating in Prince George’s County and Montgomery County. I’m too far out to receive Montgomery County to see if this a patch to both but this talkgroup is not listed in the Prince George’s County nor Montgomery County databases. I recall seeing almost a page in a half of different talkgroups a while back in the PG database for them but they are no longer there. I’ll keep monitoring to see if they change talkgroups. Does anyone have any experience on monitoring them ? I personally enjoy listening to them to get a heads up on traffic conditions.

I also picked up 20548 on the Prince George’s County system that seems to be DNR Area 3 also not listed in the DB.

I'd be careful submitting tgs for state users hosted on the PG system as they are likely to be temporary / dynamic talk groups created when a FIRST user roams onto the PG system when they lose coverage on FIRST. Watch the tgid for several weeks to see it remains the same. There was a point that the rrdb had 20 CHART tgids listed on the PG system that were technically able to be assigned to any FIRST user - not just a CHART user.

Very, very frustrating when you’ve found something and you take the time to program it in and it’s monitor-able for a day and then it unexpectedly changes. DNR Area 3 has now changed to 20808. Chart has now changed as well. It’s like you need to scan in wildcard mode at all times or else. I don’t understand this behavior.

I hope this will not be the case with First when it goes live here.

Don’t expect a dynamic tgid to be permanent- they are setup for a call, then torn down and available for reassignment after a period of time - which is why they should not be in the rrdb. A wiki entry would be more appropriate.

I have the MD SHWY 7288 D3 programmed into my scanner for monkey and pg and every time chart transmit, it comes up on D3 when they are in PG and or Monkey aka Montgomery. Also Montgomery has 3 TG listed for chart on their system as well. I know its chart because when example 9306 to TOC or calling 9306 to 9311 a different chart driver its always on the MD 1st system TG7288 under D3
