Does anyone happen to know if there are standing patches or other technical capabilities for communications interoperability between Palmetto 800 (used by state agencies) and Fleettalk (used by Cherokee County agencies)? I assume that these scenarios were planned for when Cherokee County adopted Fleettalk, and given that Fleettalk is used as a primary communication platform for a number of local public safety agencies now, it's not a situation unique to Cherokee County.

I have heard, in the recent past, the SLED 500 helicopter communicate with the Saluda, SC Sheriff's department. But, that was solely Fleettalk NXDN. There are many multi-agency radios on SLED's helicopters.
During the Ridge Spring Harvest Festival, Pal 800 WTs were handed out to several LEOs so that Ridge Spring could talk to the SCHP and SLED. That was several years ago, so I'm not certain as to the capabilities of the present radios and their interoperability.
