I monitor the OKWIN system on the JAY site (and others when the band is up) from the corner of N.W. Arkansas. I have been hearing toll booth comms on the talk group 3201. This talk group is not in the OKWIN P25 database under the section header Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Does any one know what talkgroup 3201 is? If I were to make an educated guess it would be the Cherokee Turnpike Toll Booth(s) but I was looking for confirmation of this. I base this on the two Turnpikes in Troop L jurisdiction - Will Rogers (X-A) and Cherokee (X-D). Will Rogers is already in the database but nothing for Cherokee which also happens to be closer to the JAY site than Will Rogers. It seems the Grove, Miami, Vinita and Pryor sites would be serving Will Rogers.

I've got okwin loaded and never heard of that TG . But be advised the end of July or August the state is removing all toll booths and start using pike pass and cameras to take pictures of the hard plates . Pretty much forcing the public to get a pike pass . im glad I don't use the pike I like the 4 lane black top for my travels .

KOK5CY,
Thank you for your reply. BTW - I'm glad you got your coax problem resolved (after you connect your new coax to your antenna, be sure to seal the connection with electrical tape to keep moisture out). When I monitor the JAY OKWIN P25 site (and it's not a band opening), I usually hear the following talk groups:

3201
RMA NE 2-A - NE OK Regional Mutual Aid
Tribal Law - Cherokee Nation
BIA Police - NE
GRDA Police
OHP - Troop L
OHP - Troop C

I still monitor 45.22 MHz and 44.70 MHz along with all of Missouri Highway Patrol's VHF low band frequencies. Sometimes I hear Muskogee Troop C on 44.70 MHz and strangely enough, it's like a low band simulcast system of OKWIN where I hear both the base and the cars but it is not on all the time.

I was curious what talk groups you hear from your location when you monitor MIAMI and GROVE sites?

I don't have to worry about my connection getting wet because I'm using my antenna inside and it's just laying up on the canopy bed frame and pointed towards Miami tower .

How in the world are you able to receive far as jay ? . The site is down on lake eucha boat basin .

When I had my discone up at 15ft I couldn't receive the jay site or even Bernice PD which is only 3 miles down the road .

So I'm curious of what set up you have ? .

I will soon have my discone back up with the proper coax .

I'll PM the TG's I monitor .

KOK5CY,
For my setup, I ordered the following from the Scanner Master website on 09/14/2007:

- The Antenex Y8066 9db 806-896 MHz six element Yagi Base Antenna
- 50 FT. of LMR-400 Coax Cable pre-made up with an N male connector on it for the antenna connection and a BNC male connector on the other end for the scanner
I took a picture of the beam from the rooftop of my house. It is mounted below my Comet GP-15 tri-band base antenna (2M/6M/70CM) on the same mast. During the daytime, my OKWIN P25 JAY site reception is marginal at only 1 signal bar on the scanner S/RF meter. In the evening hours, I get two signal bars and solid reception. If the band is up, it comes in with all bars. During band openings I have been able to get all the following sites:

PRYOR
OKMULGEE
MIAMI
TAHLEQUAH
LANGLEY
OWASSO
COWETA

I heard another talk group, last night on JAY, that I don't find in the database either and is unknown to me: 1443

KOK5CY,
In 2007, I paid $139.95 for the Y8066 Yagi Base Antenna and $79.15 for the 50 FT coax cable made up with an N male connector on one end and a BNC male connector on the other end from the Scanner Master website.
