We are just two days away from the Cherry Point Airshow (May 11th and 12th) and I wanted to reach out and encourage anyone headed that way to please share frequencies you hear. One encouraging sign is that, unlike many other airshows on military bases, it appears scanners are allowed, the Prohibited Items list only says no transmitters or walkie talkies.
Some suggested items to bring include sun screen, sunglasses, earplugs, a clear empty water bottle (refills free onsite) and some hydration drink mix powder to add to it, a chair, camera, scanner w/ extra batteries and head/earphones.
From years past, the RR database, and the forums, I have prepared a starting list of frequencies, there is no guarantee they are still active or will be in use at the airshow, you should always use close call or spectrum sweep to find new freqs. If you do hear these as active, please confirm for others, as well as posting anything new.
