I just caught 155.0175 nac 117, encrypted. Chester is the only entity with the license.. I never thought the small towns would use encryption. Milton being the 1st to my knowledge

Interesting... Does not really make sense. I think there was lots of money in the budget for radios and things over the past few years. Not sure why it is necessary. I've never heard anything on 153.995 the town interop channel and I don't see any entries for PD in the database.

Town channels are usually for occasions, and disasters.. That's my experience.. I recently did a public safety vhf search via dipole and came up with some p25 new entities, and some using encryption.. I still have to sort through them.. Today's catch was Chester... Side note--- I thought I heard encryption on somersworth a few weeks ago. 155.880 nac 007.. Still waiting for confirmation..
