Today I put up a 14 element 800 Mhz beam fixed towards the Chickasha site of the state
DPS system. I am hearing Lawton FD (tg 62000 and 61360) on this site tonight.

Update Chickasha site stuff

Well a Lawton fire radio must have been affiliated with the Chickasha site. They have gone away now.

What type of coax are you using with that beam?
Well I took a 25 ft piece of RG-214 that I had on hand. The mast it is on is right outside my window and the antenna is about 5 ft above roof level. Signal loss is not that bad for a short run. If I had a 50 ft run on up I would have gotten a more efficient cable. Hope that helps. The beam is a "Lonestar Electronics model LS-800"14 element log periodic I bought from Ebay.

Can you please post a pic of your antenna install? I would like to see that thing in action. :)

Since this post is about Chickasha, I went there this morning and came back w/ a few freq/tone combos that I'd like to share. Maybe you all can check this information. I ran the freqs against the FCC database and here are the possibilities. Note that these are not submissions but are guesses that should be checked. They could be completely incorrect. They are just based on the location of the licenses.

464.950 100.0 PL
BENTLEY TURF FARMS INC (WNGJ251)

461.575 (173.8 PL)
D DF OPERATING PLANT SERVICES LLC (WPST711)
License notes: applicant is in the business of operating and maintaining a 500
megawatt electrical power plant. Radios will be used to provide safety and day-to-day comms between plant personnel.

463.950 LTR LCN 05
464.850 LTR LCN 09
Once again, Leon's Radio could have added a new site somewhere different than their licensed location. I found an LTR system on at least 2 freqs that when I checked, it came back to Leons out of Chandler (Lincoln County). But it looks like it could be implemented near Chickasha, so it would be worth a try. I verified the LCNs.
Leons Radio, Inc. (WPSE604)

451.225 167.9 PL
This last one has two decent possibilities.
Chickasaw Nation (WQAI884)
Anadarko Petroleum Corp (WPPV453)
License notes: applicant is engaged in the oil and natural industry.
radios will be used to coordinate field activities.

I was not in the area long enough to confirm any of these (nor did I have the FCC license possibilities at the time), but just verified the freqs w/ the tones. Here they are if anyone wants a go at them.
