Anyone know if a digital scanner is needed in Wilson county, or will be needed in the near future? I am thinking about getting a new scanner and I cant decide witch one to get. I have it down to a uniden BCD996T or BCT15.

I know that the City of Wilson is on Nextel 800, which can not be monitored. As for the County they have both VHF and the Nextel mobiles inside their vehicles to communicate with the City, so as for now I do not think a digital scanner is needed. It is all up to you whether to purchase an Analog or Digital Scanner.

I bought the Uniden BCD396T Handheld Scanner.

I really have enjoyed it.

It is a little complicated in programming, but when you get the hang of it, it is really easy
