Hi Lindsay, is there some way we could post Aircraft freqs to the database?( By City or geographical area) The last few days I've looking for freqs for a file I'm creating for my trip. It's been very hard if not impossible to figure out which freqs I'm gonna hear from my local. I think it would be extremely helpful if we could do this. Wadiya say?

As of a few weeks ago, we are accepting aviation frequencies. If a page has not already been created for your airport, just submit the information to the appropriate county. Provide as much detail as possible (airport name, airport code, etc.).

Oh silly me :) Where would I submit Mil-Air, since that's not really attached to a specific airport?

Submit it to the county that you would most likely hearit, and almost all airports have at least on Mil Air freq assigned at least to the APC/DEP freq's. Some of the smallest might not, but take a look at www.airnav.com and youll see.

Why isn't it?

It would be attached to either a specific Air Force Base, Army Post, Naval Air Station, etc., and since all of those things are in a location, that is where you would submit it. If you refer to MilAir frequencies which are National or WorldWide then they if you will search you see a "sticky" thread for just that type of submission.

If you are seeking information, then go to the location where you need the information from and see if someone else has submitted it.

Lou, there are many Mil Air freqs that are not airport specific. Such as Air to Air Refueling, many NORAD freqs, Tactical Training, AWACS, and USAF, and USMC FAC osc. That is just a few.

LOL... not trying to get in a furball lol,.. just some of them are not nationwide/worldwide, and not attached to an airport, they are assigned on a "per usage" basis. Say a exercise is happening over the Gulf of Mexico, and your monitoring the primary freq's for the area. The Ops will announce over the air to go to such and such freg, which might be specific to a range/area, or just specific to a certian flight ops. Anyway, the best place to post the stuff you hear is to the county/area that you heard them. :)
