Clark County Sheriff on Starcom

Clark County has been using Starcom for the past few weeks now, I have caught dispatch on 8301 and CCS on 8304(ENC) just a heads up, when I find out more I will post!

They are still using VHF and only use Starcom when they are in bad VHF areas, however they have installed new radios(unknown what kind) which seem to be not as sensitive on VHF now

As far as the VHF radios having less range, could that be due to narrowbanding? They must have poor range if they are not as good as 800!

What I'm thinking GTO is they have upgraded to tri-band radios and maybe they are not as powerful on VHF as the other radios were ... I havent been able to corner a deputy out late to find out! LOL I was pulling in at the jail the other night when the chief deputy was pulling off .... Almost had him!

Maybe they got the Motorola APX7000 VHF-700/800MHz since Starcom21 is owned by Motorola.
