Hello.

I have a question I am hoping anyone on here can answer for me.

In the next little bit, me and my family will be heading to Vegas for a little trip. I will be bringing my scanner with me, my PRO 96. I already have all the main freq's in it for Clark County plus the Trunking System for them.

My question is for this system: Clark County - Southern Nevada Area Communications Council (SNACC)
When I enter this into my PRO 96, on the WIN96 Software, under MOT 3600 CC & MOT 9600 CC, do I leave both check off as: Normal. or should they both be changed to something else: Splinter, Custom Table or Multi Table. Which one do I check off in these boxes for this system. Also this system doesn't require a: BASE FREQ, OFFSET & STEP SIZE. Let me know. So I will have it all set to go when we get there.

Also since I have never been to Vegas before, other than what is posted for Clark County, is there anything else worth while or interesting that I should enter into my PRO 96 to listen to, that may not be posted on here, that anyone is willing to share with me, for my trip there. Just so I will know that I have everything to listen to, while I am there, when I do get time to listen.

I will be waiting for any replies to this post.

Thanks.

The National Park Service rangers out at Lake Mead can be interesting. They are on 170.050 and 166.300 (conventional repeater outputs, no trunking). Hoover Dam police use a digital P25 system, but can be heard on 163.1250 if you are out that way. I don't use WIN software so I can't answer your programming questions.

Enjoy your visit to Nevada!

OK thanks. I will add those to my list as well and give them a try if I get time.

OK, then about that Clark County - Southern Nevada Area Communications Council (SNACC). Is this just a normal Trunking System, just enter in the CC (Control Channels) and start listening or do you need to enter anything else in, like BASE FREQ, OFFSET & STEP SIZE. Just wondering so I will have this system entered in and all set to go. So let me know.

If there are any other important or worth while freq's I should know about. Let me know, so I can enter them in before we leave.

I will be waiting for any replies to this reply.

Thanks

Ok. so if I use WIN96 on there would the CUSTOM REBANDED table on WIN500 be the same as Normal on the WIN96 software or would I have to choose CUSTOM. Just want to make sure I have the correct one checked off, so I won't miss anything on this system incase I have the wrong thing checked off. Let me know.

I will be waiting for any replies to this post.

Thanks again.

To check just download win500 (30 day free trial) and take a look what trunk tables are there then compare to win96. In win500 the correct table is 800MHz "Rebanded".
