Hey all,
I was scanning and heared some local simplex activity on CLEMARS-4 (simplex) during a local event (San Mateo County) where a police explorer detail were conversing on the channel; I heard residual from a repeater on that freq...is there a clemars repeater about somewhere in the bay area? IT sounded pretty damn far away and the only reason at all I heared a little bit of it (IDing every while or so) was because we were near the water (the bay). Even then it sounded low level/far as hell. Anyone know about it?
Thanks!

Just FYI, for interoperability many agencies have the ability to patch CLEMARS with other channels via the APU1000 on various mountain tops, so it may sound like a repeater, when it's actually a patch.

They did this for the Oakland riots. VHF Clemars and ALCO/OAK
