Could someone in the area please provide frequency updates for this weekend's show?

I'll be listening for the Thunderbirds over the next couple of days and post what I hear. Their frequencies are relatively consistant, so you should monitor the following:

141.075 (Diamond)
235.250 (solos)
235.200 (cross country comms)

and perhaps:

139.225 (diamond)
139.800 (diamond)
140.700 (diamond)
322.950 (solos)

235.350 (misc air-to-ground)
318.850 (misc air to ground)

237.800 F-18 Demo (East Team)

Try the following for Golden Knights:
122.775
123.400
123.450
123.475
123.500

I believe Air Boss (Show Control) is generally 126.400

I'll post more as I find them active over the following days.

In addition to the frequencies I listed previously, here's a few more that were active today:

Heritage Flight (F-4, A-10, P-51) 122.475

Misc MilAir Hopkins App/Dep frequencies (for mil aircraft based there) 339.8, 354.025, 359.8

Unfortunately, the Thunderbird afternoon practice was cancelled today - presumably for the low ceiling cloud cover and haziness. I'm a bit surprised they couldn't at least run through a flat or low show practice.
But at least the morning practice had the F-18 demo (2 full practice runs), A-10 Demo, F-4, P-51, a few aerobatic aircraft, and a few "heavy" static display arrivals. So it wasn't all bad...

Just curious,

Is there any Ohio MARCS or digital trunked radio traffic related to the Cleveland Air Show?

What I got today (besides obvious TRACON and Airport freq's):
(All AM Mod)

0123.1500 KBKL Air Show Comm/Golden Knights
0126.4000 KBKL Air Boss
0141.0750 TBs "VICTOR"
0235.2500 TBs "SOLO"

I heard the TBs using KCLE TRACON freq's in VHF not UHF.

On another note, I heard a lot of aircraft and vehicles state they were switching to discrete freq's.
I tried to scan for them but I could never find them.
I never know if they are going Mil Air or regular Civil freq's.

I'll have to try 0122.4750 for the heritage flight tomorrow.
Couldn't find them today.

I'll try for the F-18 on 0237.8000 tomorrow as well.

I'm picking up lots of airshow traffic on 122.90.
I have this listed in my files as a "Discrete PA" frequency.

Awesome job, Mike!

Hopefully we all remember it is there next year. Information used at Cleveland doesn't change much year over year.

Thanks for putting that together.

Wasn't at the show but heard them on 273.450 with Hopkins Tower for landing. Added to the Wiki page.

Also heard a very brief transmission on 139.800 (MT article has this listed as another Victor 2) as well at the end of the show; listening to it multiple times I believe the male voice is saying "Two Nine Eight Four". 298.400 possibly? Will check it out tomorrow.

Listing to the Thunderbirds today:

Confirmed them on KCLE TWR/GRND UHF: 273.450

Comm checks when they took off (heard them say this):
0141.0750 = VICTOR 2
0235.2500 = UNIFORM 1

Heard them all over the place when they landed as well..
Heard that Old Victor 2 frequency (139.8) and a possible a reference to other freqencies.
I heard them say "299...something" as well as switching to "300".
Eventualy back to VICTOR 2 for casual comms.

Tried monitoring NASA Glenn P25 as well (I believe that's where they park) but I never heard anything.

Wish I had been at the show this year; had last minute plans come up and wasn't able to make it. The only thing I can offer is that the Legacy/Super Hornet demo teams do NOT use a discrete for their performance. There are no A/G comms with a spotter like the USAF demos have.

It's a little early to know what they will be. We usually don't confirm things until aircraft start arriving and practicing. The best bet is to wait until after people post from the first day's monitoring.

Barring that, here is the list compiled from last year. Most don't change, except the Acts section.

Start with everything on the Wiki plus what has been discussed here and go from there.
The Air show is three days long so if you can, bring a scanner with you and ride around Cleveland on the days you don't actually go to the show.

I go one day and monitor the other two.
If I can, I get someone to drive me around while I scan.
