Thought we'd get the thread started. Blue Angel 6 ship formation arrived at Burke today around 4 PM. Heard them check in with CLE approach on 346.325, the Burke Twr UHF on 339.800. Plane to plane comms on 284.550. NOTAMS has TFR airspace closures set for Thurs 1600-1800 & 1900-2100 UTC.

I'll post more info as available. Note that the F 35 and C17 demos are cancelled. An Ar. ANG F 15 flyby has been added daily to fill some of the schedule holes.

I am going Sunday. Hope someone will find the show control frequency and post it Saturday after the show.

Airboss working 134.725 this morning during practice session. Alt. airspace comms also heard on 118.300

Correction to last post: Alt. airspace comms are on 118.350 (not 118.300) This channel is being used to manage Clinic/UH helos that will be transiting the TFR (showbox) airspace today and throughout the weekend.

Show control/Airboss confirmed on 134.725 today. Golden knight Air/Gnd on 123.150. Performer heard on 122.475 during morning practice yesterday...not sure if they will use this as discrete. Blues are using their standard freqs: 346.500 (preflight) 275.350 (diamond) 284.550 (show box) 237.800 (solos) and 305.500 (Fat Albert) - Comcart active on 142.6125 FM.

The frequencies are working but all I am hearing is, "A littlllllllllllllllllllllllle morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre powwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww-er........ smoke off."

Thanks for all the info.Now I can take the small scanner instead of the big signal stalker unit.If anyone is interested I caught 2 new blimp freqs lately.151.505 & 172.9 in addition to the usual 151.625

Is that municipal parking lot about a 1 mile in from the airport, still usable? I recall going there a couple times and the trees were getting big and in the way.

Take note if I'm not mistaken... these are AM modulation.

It’s not so much your radio or scanner that you need to make adjustments to but rather the nature of air traffic transmissions in general. They’re short and discrete (i.e. no BS and to the point) However, the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds take it to an entirely different level all together. You really have to listen VERY carefully to what they’re saying to comprehend even a portion of what’s said. After close to three decades of monitoring the BA’s from the Cleveland National Air Show, I continue to find it quite challenging myself. Lol!

All of my entries are analog and I have no delay set at all.
Most of the comms I get are short. Not a lot of talking especially on the T-birds.
The most conversations I got to today came from the Golden Knights.
I use a GRE 500 for the air shows.
