I was wondering if anyone could tell me some info? I live in Belmont County, Ohio and I listen to Cleveland Center via the tower they have in the county, but I was wondering could I still hear the tower and the approach and departure? And does anyone have some frequencies for Pittsburgh Internatonal Airport that I will be able to pick Up???

Thanks

I don't think you'll be able to hear _any_ ground / tower / approach / departure from PIT - at least not from the airport itself. Sure you will probably pick up the planes coming in as they radio ahead and perhaps those departing as they are heading out.

Taken from liveatc.net:
KPIT TOWER
KPIT Tower (Rwy 10L/28R): 128.30
KPIT Tower (10R/28L): 119.10
KPIT Tower (10C/28C, 14/32): 135.0250
Pittsburgh Pre-Taxi Clearance: 126.750
Ground Control - North Side: 121.90
Ground Control - South Side: 127.80
Ramp Control (North): 130.775
Ramp Control (South): 131.375
UNICOM: 122.9500
Emergency: 121.5

KPIT APPROACH/DEPARTURE
Pittsburgh Approach (090-269): 123.950, 120.875
Pittsburgh Approach (270-089): 124.150
Pittsburgh Approach (270-089): 121.250
Pittsburgh Departure: 118.7000, 127.950
Pittsburgh Departure (270-089): 124.750
Pittsburgh Departure (090-269): 119.350
Emergency: 121.5

Go to http://www.liveatc.net/feedindex.php and do a search on that screen for KPIT .

http://www.flightaware.com is a great sight if you are monitoring overhead traffic or airports and want to figure out what is going on with 'US Air 2033' for instance - It'll show up as USA2033 on Flightaware. PIT is the airport designator - prefix it with a K when you enter it in on www.flightaware.com - i.e. KPIT . KCMH would be Columbus. For the large airports you can see what flights are scheduled to come in and go out as well as ones that recently have come in or gone out. Military flights aren't tracked - and for instance, Jeff Gordon's plane is not tracked because his company specifically requested that flightaware not provide that tracking information - So not everything is trackable on flightaware - But what is can be pretty interesting.

Not too long ago I heard the browns coming in to PIT for the game - well I heard their plane - requesting limos and certain VIPs to meet them at the airport, etc.

Not all of those frequencies will yield anythign interesting though from Belmont County.

Also go to http://www.airport-data.com if you want to find even some of the smaller airports and what they use - for instance go to http://www.airport-data.com/airport-finder.html and type in 43950 as the zip. You'll see a list of local airports on teh right. Click on one so it displays it in the center. then click on the airport designator in the center for it to bring up information - and if they have frequencies in use at the airport it will show ya.
