CLMRN Sites/Network ID's

Hi All,

Was just going through some radio logs and I'm noticing that they don't match what is listed in the database.

According to the DB, the network IDs are allocated on the CLMRN system as follows:

3A0	Troops A, B, F, G, I, K, Emergency Response Vehicle, Hartford, Kent, Newington, Bridgeport, Weston ASR, Yale University
3A1	Troop L, New Britain
3A2	Naugatuck
3A4	Troop C
3A5	Troop D
3A6	Troop E
3A7	Old Lyme
3A8	Troop H
3A9	Stamford

I am tuned to 853.6125 for a control channel, which corresponds to 3A0, which, in addition to other sites, includes the Troop B simulcast site.


However, all of my logs instead show a network ID of 3A9, which corresponds to the Stamford site, which uses different frequencies.


Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

I'm using DSD+ so working with the DSDPlus.radios file in CSV format

If I'm understanding correctly what you're asking, you have the NAC and the system ID mixed up. Your logs are showing the system ID, and not the NAC for each site.

You are confusing the SysID (System ID) of 3A9 with the per-site NAC (Network Access Code).

BEE00.3A9 is the WACN and SysID, sometimes formatted as BEE00-3A9 or whatever else, same difference. That is what each line in your DSD+ log shows. That value applies to every site systemwide.

Each site also has a NAC, which sometimes is the same as the SysID, other times not. For MSI ASTRO 25 systems it will always be a derivative of the SysID. So in the case of SysID 3A9, valid NAC's would be 3A0-3AF (or 3A0-3A9 and 3AA-3AF if you're unfamiliar with hexadecimal).

Thanks guys. This helped me come to the realization that DSD+ logs do not differentiate between sites.
