NAC 201. Two different unit IDs:

That frequency and NAC are used by the Federal Protective e Device in multiple areas.

RIDs also appear to be FPS.

The one close to me has offices for Senators who never use them. Maybe their highnesses are visiting ?

The Federal Protective Service is under the Department of Homeland Security. They are responsible for protecting federal government property and facilities. They are uniformed and run marked vehicles.

This can include smaller federal offices, such as the IRS, and federal offices that are located in normal business complexes.

If you’re hearing constant traffic with so many of them, for several hours, it may be a surveillance. The FPS does have special agents. They are in unmarked vehicles and their investigations take them away from the immediate area of any federal property.

406.2000 is the Repeater, so a Close Call means you were near-by (Where?) the Repeater site.

406.2000 $201 is the most common Federal Protective Service frequency for Maine, likely due to Cross-Border coordination with Canada they did not use 408.2000 which is used in the rest of New England

Since FPS is 98% ENC and those two RID's have also been seen here in Boston as well as other areas handled by the Philadelphia Desk (they handle all of the region) this RID could be anywhere from NJ/NY/PA to here in New England

You have many Federal Buildings located across (area code 207) the state, excluding the Military

This is something new, and lighting up my 'Close Call' - with the attenuator option selected.
That seemed interesting to me.
