So when I put CC DND on my BCT15 it picks up a lot of FM Radio Stations. I am reading old posts and the easier to read manual so I know to go to Menu -> Search/Close Call Options -> Broadcast Screen

When I am there, I click on Set Each Band and one of my options is to turn "FM" off.

I just wanted to confirm if I shut this off, it will stop picking up radio stations, and not all FM bands (because correct me if I am wrong, public safety and others are FM as well).

Trying to optimize my close call and just wanting to confirm I am doing the right thing.

Also, figuring BR330T is the same process.

Any help provided would be appreciated.

The feature is a broadcast screen so you want to turn it ON. It seems counter-intuitive but its not. I just turn them all on.

You seem to have it correct. It will only screen out FM Broadcasts ie Radio Stations.

In other words, it only screens the "known freqs.", not the FM modulation scheme.

No he has it backwards David. You turn the feature on to turn FM broadcasts off.

On is certainly the winner.

Thanks for confirming that it will only block out FM radio and thanks for the heads up on the "On" versus "off".

DISREGARD.

I found the answer. You can program/set your own bands to be locked out.

Now that I have looked at my BCD396T setup, what is:

Band 1
Band 2
Band 3
...
Band 10?

I have everything locked out (On), but now I am thinking I should not have band 1-10 locked out (On).

Anyone know?

I didn't notice the on vs off part. I was focusing on the fact that he was correct that he would not lose all FM, only the Broadcast Radio stuff.

Those are for custom screens. You can enter the freq. range you want to screen into Band 1, another range into Band 2, etc. Then you can turn those ranges on or off as well as the default screens. If you don''t have anything entered into the custom screens then turning them on probably doesn't do anything. I would turn those bands off anyway if you haven't entered a custom range for them.
