Took a trip from Buckeye to San Luis, Yuma, Quartzsite and back today. Along the way I found the following CloseCall Hits:

160.5750 (Data) ATCS on the UP at Dateland (Sunset Route)

160.6200 (114.8) Repeater heard from Kinter, north of Yuma, Spanish speakers, nothing in the FCC or RR DB. (Could have been from Mexico but I was pretty far north for a CC hit.

173.9625 (P25) Encrypted, perhaps from a CBP aircraft I saw flying along I-8 east of Yuma.

153.5450 (203.5) Repeats 158.2500, Roosevelt Irrigation District, Buckeye (White Tanks)

155.3850 (114.8) According to the RRDB it is RM Fire F9 West

I also had a lot of airway Center traffic hits but that is very common out here. Sometimes I have to lock out the Aviation band there are so many. I also picked up a couple ham repeater links in the 420-430 range, a couple from the White Tanks, one from the Quartzsite area and another along I-8 by Ligurta.

Well done and thanks for posting. I often run mine scanners in close call mode while I am driving to see what they can find.

I was actually 190 miles from Nogales, 170 from Kingman and 160 from Oatman. I am pretty sure I was hearing simplex traffic at the time.

If anyone is out near Dateland, see what you get [NAC] on these 3 frequencies.
168.0875, 170.4375 and the one from CC at 173.9625
