Just an observation -- over the past few days I have heard the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay is saying "Shifting to 22A or 1022-- 157.100MHz" The 1022 channel thing has been around for a few years but this is time I have been hearing it used over the air during safety broadcasts. I wonder if other sectors are st arting to use the same terminology?>

Sector Lake Michigan has been referring to the new 4 digit channel numbers for at least a few weeks now. Sometime referring it to 'ITU Channel xxxx'

Sector Maryland National Capital Region (NCR) now gives both the old channel old 22A and 1022 during broadcasts.
