CODAR in Missouri?

I was listening to my SDR on 13.475MHz tonight and heard what seems and looks on the waterfall to be a CODAR wave, but isn't CODAR ocean related, getting info about the speed and size of waves? Why would I hear this in the middle of this land locked state so far away from any ocean? If it's not CODAR what could it be?

It is CODAR. HF signals at this frequency can go hundreds or thousands of miles, even if low powered.

Yup, I was told it's codar too. I picked up some strange signals 40 miles south of Ft. lenoardwood.
