A man driving a motor scooter was killed after the scooter crashed into a post and rolled.

The accident happened Saturday morning around 6.20 a.m. in the 6700 block of South Taft Hill Road. The 30-year-old driver of the 2002 Mazda Mosquito motor scooter was southbound on Taft Hill Road when it went off the right side of the road and hit a post. He was killed at the scene.

A witness driving by stopped and called police.

The southbound lanes of Taft Hill Road from Trilby Road were closed for about two hours.
