If any of you noticed some activity on the radio yesterday, you probably were hearing this. We had an exercise to test interoperability between the New Castle, Kent, and DSP mobile command posts at Summit Airport. We also tested video downlink with DSP Aviation. This is my first time seeing the new Bell 412 in action and I must say it is a magnificent piece of equipment!

Saw that new 412 over Dover Downs last weekend.Nice Bird!
Like the Chopper landing on trailer shots.
Nice extra way to get around in emergency or routine service?

The trailer is used to move the helicopter to and from the hanger. When you get a mission, a tug pulls the trailer out of the hanger to the ramp/apron, and the helicopter takes off from the trailer. When they return, the helicopter lands on the trailer, and then it is pulled back into the hanger.
