Compare Notes in Phoenix / Mesa

Would like to have a conversation regarding the current offerings in the Phoenix / Mesa area. I have a Uniden SDS200 and rather than load up the entire RR database, I've been pretty good at just creating my own Favorites / Systems / Sites / Departments / Talk Group Channels on my own, manually entering from the RR website. More efficient scanning that way. I have all my Ham repeaters working. Even a DMR repeater. I figured out all the Police and Fire P25 systems. I have enough AIR frequencies working to bore me to death!

That said, I'd like to compare notes on what is usable or not. For example, I'm not getting much from SRP and APS, etc. It might just be getting on the right SITE and then expect only certain talk groups to use certain sites? Are they busy at all?

I know all the encryption going on sucks, so I'm expanding my reach to anything still open. I have a discone antenna in the attic and I'm getting strong signal strength readings, and the SDS handles the simulcast site just fine. So no technical issues, just curious as to anyone's experience in what to listen to.

I too hand make my own lists for the SDS 100 & 200. Always have. Same with all my ham equipment. I'm retired and like programming. I've found ways to use Excel in making columns then copy paste to Sentinel and WIN500. The PRO-197 receives better than either the 100 or 200. I'm currently researching the MEDIA between 450 and 451, but for days I've heard no activity. Maybe have switched to 700/800 ? Any ideas?
