BCT15X: Connection issues

Hello, is there anyway I could possibly fix a connection issue that I’ve been having with my BCT15x. Since I first got it, it’s had connection issues. I found a good place to put it and it has had five bars perfect signal for five days all of a sudden the signals been dropping down to one and going back up to five within a few seconds back to back even though it was never moved/in the same place with the great signal for almost a week. Don’t really want to buy another antenna or anything that’s going to cost money as I’ve already spent close to $300 on this set up.

What kind of antenna are you using?
It occasionally has 5 bars, but does it ever receive audio well?

Got it for close to $300 after getting the 2 year warranty, speaker and then tax off of the uniden website. But I’m trying to listen to EDACS, when it’s working it works great not sure if it’s because there’s been some wind today or some storms that moved in but it’s been working great for the past five days and when it is working, it’s working great but it goes from working great to just cut off silent and then back to working great a second later occasionally. And when you’re listening to dispatch, anything crucial could happen when it’s having its episodes where it doesn’t want to connect and then I miss out on what ever happened. But I’m located in Pasco, Florida. There’s a tree over the house, but not sure if that’s doing much as it was working for several days.

yep, simulcast.
move the radio around and find a sweet spot.
try the TV rabbit ear antenna dance of decades ago.
even try it with the antenna down flat.
even try the stock or a back of the set antenna.
