I am in the Camden County Missouri area. I have placed the control channels into a CNV group for monitoring. I hear some data on them as well as a lot of voice traffic. I do not hear any traffic on my TGID entries. I have placed the CC into a group and searched but have not gotten any new TGID. just curious.

Welcome to the RR forums. Are you using a scanner or SDR? What make & model? Trunked systems need to be programmed as trunked in order to properly follow TGIDs. If you program conventionally you will hear all traffic carried on the frequency it lands on with no way to hold on a talkgroup. Program trunked as trunked

I have a Uniden BCD325P2. I have it programmed for the MOSWIN here, that works great. Just sometimes it seems like it is too quiet.

Try turning on "ID Search" under the system options for MOSWIN.
Any TG you don't have stored that is being received by the Camden site will come through and display the TG ID, then you can look it up in the MOSWIN database. There is a lot of Highway Patrol, Laclede Co. units that will go through that site even though it is in Camden Co.

You should not program as conventional. It should be 'trunked' and 'P25'. I scan south of there in Laclede/Dallas Co's from time to time. MOSWIN is quite busy at times.

Yes, I have done that. Found a couple of TGID's that I did not have. I have found that MO State, Morgan, Miller, Laclede and Pulaski use the 017 Camden site. It just seems like I am missing something. There are a couple of 700 sites but have never heard anything while on Search.

In that area of the state you could program 4 or 5 sites surrounding your main listening area and hear a lot more.

MOSWIN in Camdenton isn't 700/800 it's VHF trunking. Is that what you have in there for MOSWIN? On the Moswin list it's site 1/17.

Ya if he can get it on the the hand held I agree, there might be more to be heard. Looks like Moswin had a lot of stuff for Camden County. Not sure how busy they actually are down there though.

I have camden county on the 171.675 CC, I also have a few other CC's in the 150's in there. I have been searching the 700's but have not heard anything. I am using an outside antenna. without that I get nothing.

This is a big lake area, there are days it is very busy. State Troopers are active here also.

Did you program manually or import to some type of program from the RR database? I see you're a premium subscriber.

I've not been down that way with a scanner for a LONG time now but I know many moons ago, it was always busy on the weekends.

I downloaded from FreeScan. I want to try something on my own alsao.
Ok thanks. I guess I'm out of ideas then. I don't know freescan but, assuming you imported from RR correctly then wrote it to the scanner Id think you're getting what the scanner is capable of hearing. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
