What I think you are referring to is actually a "real" J-Pole. That term
has been incorrectly applied to the single-band version (the J antenna)
by just about everybody. The real J-Pole has a "pole" which is common
to both antennas. You can set it up for just about any two bands.

Copper cactus sounds exactly what it would look like if you made if
from copper tubing and fitings ("plumber's delight").

Sorry I can't lay hands on the plans. It might be buried in a magazine
article somewhere, but I'll check my books but haven't found anything
other than the single-band (J) version. You could try ARRL books
(Radio Amateur's Handbook or Antenna Book). If you do a web
search, expect to come up with the single-band version by default.

I found >>>this<<< on the QSl.net pages for a multi-band J-pole.

Seems to be a copper cactus. But I'm fairly new to this so I'm ready to be enlightened. I checked the ARRL Antenna Book and references to a J-Pole antenna is that of an end-fed 1/2 wave antenna and the description given by the handbook is that it is constructed of rigid copper.

Please find the other antenna you are referring to. I am always interested.

EDIT: Is this the antenna you are refferring to?
