Last time i drove through there on my way to montreal, Dispatch was encrypted as well as the units.
Interesting?

Oddly enough I can here Belleville PD just fine , both dispatch and car units, and they run on one of the
same frequencies as Cornwall, 142.035 and both cities are digital p25. Wonder what happens during strong inversion conditions, LOL

They're probably running different NAC codes so nothing much.

Nac's are just numbers like Pl tones to avoid interference. There is no way to decode the speech. No one seems to know why the dispatcher is in the clear but its been like that since at least july. It used to be 100% encrypted so this is a bonus for however long it lasts.

I know here in Kingston, the police come up as ENC , but both cars and dispatch are encrytped p25.
I guess listening to half a conversation is better then nothing. Keep up the lucky listening, maybe it
might stay this way for a while in cornwall.

The only pd station's i get that are not encrypted are Belleville, and Brockville.

Could we please drop this. As soon as they learn that someone made a mistake, it will get fixed. Hearing only one side is frustrationg, but better than hearing nothing. Thank you.
