Can anyone give some insight into why Corona FD Dispatch is now called “Ontario” on the radio rather than their previous “Corona” call sign? Also, they aren’t using tones anymore
Are they outsourcing for dispatch now?

Yes. It's basically an IP-based system that activates the alert sounds/lighting in the station, therefore you won't hear any sort of pre-alert/beep/tone on dispatch like before.

I think Ontario FD also went to the same IP based system for station alerting. I heard they have their old 2-tone available as a backup.

If you want to know what they're getting dispatched to, use Pulsepoint and follow Corona FD.

Yeah I do that already, thank you
Was simply just wondering why they are using the “Ontario” call sign and have no more tones anymore
