Just picked up one these $17-$20 DMR radios off AMZN. Blown away.

I used my Baofeng cable and programmed about 16 TGs into it. Good signal reports. It has no screen but the voice channel helps. Once I settle on a channel list and order will probably stick a channel list on it like I used to have on my work radios. Was able to get on AmericaLink, 91, 93, etc. with no problem through my hotspot. Might try local DMR repeater but for now, it is a hotspot radio.

If you are good at programming radios, get it.

A link to the seller would be nice. I was unable to find that model at that price.

Click the coupon code, it is about $17, AMZN comes with charger base. Uses Baofeng cable, software is a little hard to find. Search model, two excellent videos on how to program. One guy actually was hitting repeaters. It is barebones.

Hi @KY4OA, would you mind taking a picture of the certification label on the inside back of the radio housing? You can black out the serno if you would like to. It is not clear to me who they are marketing that radio to. Here is their advertisement:

FCC ID: 2AXBB-CO01D is what mine has. I had trouble finding it on FCC website.

Thanks for your post of the corrected FCC ID. I was wondering why I couldn’t find it from the ID in Post #13. There should be a universal standard that zeros have a slash and the letter z have a dash in it. The link to the full file therefore is:

Now to do a little reading just for the fun of it when I get some time. I’m a little miffed (or worried) that their brochure is marketing this radio to a family that is camping. But with respect to your radio, let us know how well the two watts worked, did you change the antenna and how is navigating the radio without a display. You have fun too.

Radio works very well on my pi-star. Haven't taken it out to hit DMR repeaters. 2 watts UHF all depends on conditions. This radio is a nice little package for $20. No frills. No screen isnt a big problem. You just need to write down what the channels correspond to. It has a voice prompt for channels and menu items. 16 channels is plenty for my DMR needs as I typically can't find 16 TGs that have decent activity. TG 91 and Americalink are usually were I monitor. I am not really into ragchews but I do respond to questions and CQs. I always respond to CQs no matter what.
