I was reviewing the recent changes to CHP and these other issues got my attention. I was hoping someone could verify or educate me...

The first issue is this pair of frequencies hiding in the Deprecated section:
42.78000 KA4993 M 192.8 PL TEAL SO M Mobile - West Valley Office (56) FM Deprecated
42.30000 KA4993 M 192.8 PL YEL SO M Mobile - East Los Angeles Office (82) FM Law Dispatch
42.52000 WQA721 B 192.8 PL YEL SO B Base - East Los Angeles Office (82) FM Law Dispatch
42.56000 KA4993 B 179.9 PL WHT VAL B Base - Formerly Stockton Office FM Deprecated

So if 42.3/42.52 are actually used, they need to be put back into the Los Angeles area block. If they are actually Deprecated, then the tag needs to change.

Does anyone know what should be done?

Inside of the capitol ops, we have:
460.45000 KYK296 RM 127.3 PL Bldg Sec 2 State Building Security FM Law Tac
453.30000 M 141.3 PL Bldg Sec 3 State Building Security (Tax Board?) FM Security
453.20000 KYK296 RM Bldg Sec 4 State Building Security FM Law Tac

Should 453.3 be tagged as Security? It is the only Security tag in the page. Why would this channel be tagged differently? Here is what the DB Admin Guide has to say about the tag:
Security – Non-law enforcement security operations, including private security companies, non-commissioned government agency security, school security, etc.

Is State Building Security provided by CHP or a private security firm?

Cal EMA uses private security, as do many state agencies. CHP investigates crimes on state property and provides security in the Capitol buildings.

I can verifty that they are no longer in use. East LA (82) is using the new frequencies (yellow 2):

45.50000 B 186.2 PL YEL2 SO B Base - YELLOW 2 - East Los Angeles Office (82) FM Law Dispatch

42.82000 KA4993 M 186.2 PL YEL2 SO M Mobile - YELLOW 2 - East Los Angeles Office (82) FM Law Dispatch

So is the security frequency properly tagged? When we went to the Capitol, there were armed CHP officers.

...not sure if this frequency is properly tagged, which is why I'm asking.

chp assimilated the old state police personnel into the chp ranks

they are now capitol protection ...its probably an old holdover tag from when it was state police - and security was their only job
