Hello, new on this forum. I have a couple of CDM-750 radios. I am looking for the programming software. Where should I look or where can I download it?
The HVN9025 CPS is currently $299 from MOL. The programming cable is anywhere from $20 for a cheapy USB that may or may not work up to $210 for the AARKN4081C cable from /\/\.
I've said this many times before, but it bears repeating. If you own just one radio and you are only going to have it programmed a couple of times while you have it, it makes much more sense to have it done by a radio shop. Typical programmings costs are $30 to $50. The downside is that you have to prove to a shop that you are authorized to transmit on a frequency before they will program it as it is illegal to program a radio to transmit on frequencies that the holder is not authorized to use.
Alternatively, you may find someone else locally (maybe through a ham club) that can do this for you.
There is a steep learning curve to using this particular CPS properly.
I'm not saying don't do it; I am saying that there are some good reasons not to. Just giving you facts to make an informed decision.
