Cranston PD encrypted??

Haven't used my Uniden BCD436 in a good while... Started using it again since the Blizzard & don't hear Cranston PD except for their F3 channel. No dispatch or no car to car... Istill hear Cranston Fire just fine. Anyone else experiencing the same? Thanks!

Yes, Cranston PD went P25 and have encrypted channels 1 & 2. The fire departments is also on the RISCON system .

Cranston PD - Possible Encryption

Good evening, folks... Flipping on the SDS100 tonight for some evening listening, and I'm having an odd, unexpected issues with Cranston PD. Instead of crisp and clear reception I usually get on their P25 frequencies, I'm getting an occasional quick hitting garbled mess. I'm not entirely sure...
