Hi all. I am flying out to Washington state tomorrow for an inpromptu trip and driving back to the Washington DC area. I will be taking whatever the most direct route is, (I-84 to I-80 Portlant to Salt Lake to Chicago to Pittsburg) as we have to be back by friday morning.
I'm looking forward to taking the pro-97 and using the signalstalker. Was thinking of packing up one of my radio shack mag mounts, or just taking the extendable. Haven't decided yet.
So is there anything I need to know...illegal monitoring, area's to avoid, one route better than another, cool places to stop and stretch my legs, restrictions at the airport?
I was just planning on "carrying" my lugguge instead of "checking" it. But am a bit concerned if it contains the radio, the external speaker, the power adapter...might be too many wires to get passed security. Any experience here?
All input is appreciated.
