Through all my listening, I only hear any kind of CSP traffic a few times a day, is there some other type of communications they are using or do they just not talk much?
Depends on what you listening to, but if you're listening to any of the metro troops along with 3A, 3C you should be hearing plenty of traffic. We all have wants and warrants and CAD, but there's enough guys that dont utilize it to make the radio almost non-stop at times.
Hmm interesting, it seams I hear a little bit of traffic from 3a and 3c when I'm up in greely for class, I hear 1d if thats the one I'm thinking of more offen then not. Maybe I have something programed wrong, its hard to tell.
Guess it must be where I'm at, down here in this valley, I havn't heard a thing in the last 2 hrs. Although while I was out and about this weekend driving around I heard alot of traffic.
I try to listen to 6C up here in Boulder on the Gunbarrel repeater but usually get a lot of central Denver troopers. Also, I manually tuned my APCO25 Threshold (to 8) and get twice the performance I got in auto mode.
From the way i understand it...CSP will also 'patch' certain troops together. Meaning 6C troopers could be talking on the 1D channel, so 6C would be quiet. Or am I off base?
