CSP w/PRO-2051 ?

I am new to the group .. and new to trunked scanning - althoough certainly not new to radio. Here is the question? Will I be able to listen tothe CSP using my newly acquired PRO-2051? I am still trying to figure out how to use the scanner - but knowing that I can use it for what I intedned would be a big incentive :wink:

Unfortunately the Pro-2051 won't work for the bulk of Connecticut State Police communications because CSP is digital and the Pro-2051 scanner isn't. If the Pro-2051 is programmed for CSP you'll hear buzzing sounds on the talkgroups instead of the actual conversations.

The Pro-2096, Pro-96, BC796, and BC296 definitely work for CSP. I think some people have the BC785D and BC250D also working on it but I'm not sure.
